•The gel combines two powerful anti-acne agents that work together to treat acne more effectively than either ingredient alone:Clindamycin (1% w/w): A topical lincosamide antibiotic. It works by penetrating the pores and inhibiting protein synthesis in bacteria. This stops the growth and spread of Propionibacterium acnes, the bacteria primarily responsible for inflammatory acne, thereby reducing redness, swelling, and pain.Benzoyl Peroxide (2.5% or 5% w/w): A keratolytic (peeling) and antibacterial agent. It introduces oxygen into the pores, creating an environment where acne-causing bacteria cannot survive. Additionally, it helps shed the outermost layer of dead skin cells.
